I don’t want to troll about going back to the old version too much.

But why should the timeline disappear ? It provide a great way to see overview of my plans.
Also, I like that Mixin has different kind of items, from Appointments, Proposition, Availability. But the new interface made it difficult to input anything other than appointment. Even if I stated availability (free), it still looks the same as appointment.

I think, these two drastic change is making Mixin to become less versatile for me.

Thanks for this honest feedback, we are investigating solutions that will help you have a better quick overview. Regarding the availabilities, how where you using them and how would you like to have it, any idea :) ?

The timeline like in the previous version, like in the previous entry about bookmarklet.
    http://blog.mixin.com/2008/12/16/add-an-activity-in-seconds-with-the-new-bookmarklet/
I think Mixin’s design is already great. It’s easy to see the activities spread across the week at a glance. And the more natural time span (morning, lunch, afternoon, etc) really get me, because it feels more relaxed than the other popular but business-like calendar solution that requires strict time definition (hour-minutes). :D

If any suggestion for the timeline, I think it’ll be set of “in office” time where we’re most likely unavailable due to routine jobs. For example, Monday to Friday 09.00–17.00 is greyed out, but we can still make an appointment.

Availability, I’d like it to be an activity marked differently. For example… displayed as “available” in grey text (system text instead of user defined). Or maybe colour coded.

Seems like most are interface suggestion rather than back end.

How is that a new design, you just stole my logo?

  5. Just wanted to let you know that your front page is showing up in a different language for me, and it is mighty confusing. I thought I was on a different site than I had meant to go to, or perhaps the page was hijacked.

Also, it seems like a really bad idea to not have a “contact us” form that actually works. Imagine all the press requests and such you are passing up.

You might want to sort this stuff out. If not for the benefit of the users, for the sake of representing your products in a better fashion than this.

    Thanks
